College Partnerships

For students pursuing college admissions after high school, the investment of effort and tuition that culminates in a Delone Catholic High School diploma, can also pay off with guaranteed acceptance and merit scholarships at nearly 30 partner colleges and universities.

Delone Catholic High School is proud to have secured college and university partnerships for our students. These partnerships guarantee Delone Catholic students acceptance and merit-based scholarships to schools, given they meet certain GPA and SAT/ACT requirements.

With most Delone Catholic students advancing to post-secondary education, college acceptance and the financial means to attend are on the minds of nearly every Delone Catholic family. It is our hope that these partnerships ease some of the worries of the future for our students and families by giving them knowledge of their acceptance and merit-based assistance to a fine institution. Furthermore, Delone Catholic is proud to endorse these faith-based colleges and universities with the knowledge that these institutions will care for their students just as we do–mind, body, and spirit.

We are in the process of expanding our partnership program, and are in conversation with other colleges and universities. Future partnerships will be announced as agreements are reached.

Inspired by the Roman Catholic tradition and joined in a mission to develop ethical leaders with moral courage, Alvernia University and Delone Catholic High School hereby establish a Memorandum of Understanding.

Through this memorandum, we articulate and codify the ways this partnership can advance our mutual goal of enhancing access to high-quality Catholic education at the high school and post-secondary levels. The components of our partnership include, but are not limited to:

  1. Alvernia University will guarantee admission and a four-year renewable merit scholarship to graduates of Delone Catholic High School who enroll at Alvernia University and have a minimum 3.00 high school GPA. Currently, Alvernia University is test optional. Should Alvernia require a standardized test in the future, they will establish the minimum admission criteria needed for this MOU. Students who meet the above criteria will receive, at minimum, a $19,000 four-year merit scholarship with a total value of $76,000, and up to a maximum of $27,000 four-year merit scholarship. Students will also receive a renewable $1,000 Catholic High School Award, for a total of $4,000, over four academic years. Students looking to major in the Physician Associate or 3+3 Doctorate of Physical Therapy programs must have a minimum 3.5 high school GPA to gain admission into those programs. Students looking to major in Engineering programs must have a minimum 3.3 high school GPA to gain admission into those programs. The student must maintain an appropriate, pre-determined GPA based on the value of the scholarship in order to renew annually. The award can only be received for four years total, except for the 5-year MSOT and AT programs. The Delone Catholic High School and Alvernia University Scholarship is not transferable to other institutions.
  2. Delone Catholic High School will permit an Alvernia University admissions representative to visit with their students as many as three times annually for the purposes of sharing information about Alvernia's academic programs, application and financial aid processes, upcoming visit opportunities, and related topics. Visits will be arranged by the Alvernia University Office of Admissions through the Delone Catholic High School Guidance Office.
  3. Delone Catholic High School will display Alvernia University information, including posters, pennants, and brochures in the Guidance office or elsewhere at the high school where college information is presented. In addition, the agreement with an Alvernia University logo & profile will be displayed on the Delone Catholic website.

This agreement may be reviewed and revised at any time at the best of the Delone Catholic High School President or Principal or the President or Senior Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Affairs at Alvernia University.
