Mr. Timothy Bonitz has been promoted to Assistant Principal for Student Life and Mr. David Salter will assume the role of Athletic Director at Delone Catholic High School, effective immediately. Mr. Bonitz originally served as Athletic Director in 2017 and in 2020, took on an additional role as Dean of Students. As the need for additional administrative support has increased, Mr. Bonitz accepted the promotion to Assistant Principal for Student Life. In this newly added position, Mr. Bonitz will
oversee athletics, campus ministry, health, and safety while promoting student discipleship. This role will oversee all non-academic aspects of student life. Mrs. Donna Tompkins P'06, P'10 will continue to serve as Vice Principal, focusing on academic matters, admissions and enrollment, and other administrative duties.
Mr. Salter, having served as the Senior Director of Institutional Advancement since 2020, will assume all Athletic Director responsibilities that Mr. Bonitz previously held and work closely with Mr. Bonitz to continue the tradition of Delone Catholic athletics. Mr. Salter brings years of coaching experience at York Catholic High School as well as familiarity with the league, district, and state association that Delone Catholic takes part in his new role.
“Delone Catholic High School embraces change and the conditions in which the School now finds itself merits some administrative restructuring. I encourage you all to welcome both men into their new positions. I know that we will all be beneficiaries of the positive changes they will bring to the school,” said Mr. William Lippe P'25, Principal in a message to school families.
