Julia Fuhrman, John Fournie, and William Lippe

At the 2023 Hanover Chamber of Commerce Business Awards reception held on Nov. 7 at Bay City Restaurant in Hanover, Pa., Mr. John Fournie received the esteemed Educator of the Year Award for Delone Catholic High School.

During the ceremony, Principal William Lippe aptly compared Mr. Fournie's contributions at Delone Catholic to that of a utility player on a baseball team, who wears many hats and plays many roles. Mr. Fournie is a versatile team player who has spent the last seven years teaching AP government, creative writing, and journalism. He is also the school librarian, yearbook advisor, social studies department chair, and online learning coordinator.
