Delone Catholic Baseball Squires Win District III 2A Championship

The Delone Catholic baseball team captured the District III 2A Championship Game with a 7-1 victory against Kutztown on Thursday, May 23 at Earl Wenger Field in Fredericksburg, Pa. This is the team's second district championship in three years under the leadership of Coach Jimmy Smith '82.
Denver Ostrum '24 earned the win for the Squires, surrendering only four hits and one run over seven innings. Nicolas Pierce, J.D. Sieg, and Ethan Little combined for five of the team's nine hits, scoring two runs and driving in five.
After a 4-3 win versus Mountain View in the first round of the PIAA 2A tournament, the Squires' season ended with a 3-7 loss against Tri-Valley in the PIAA quarterfinals on Friday, June 7.
