Introducing School Board Member Leland Hughes P'22, P'24

Since joining the Delone Catholic Board of Directors in 2022, Leland Hughes has become a cornerstone of the school’s strategic and physical planning. A parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Abbottsown, Leland brings a deep sense of mission and sharp business acumen to his service for the DCHS community.

Educational & Professional Foundation

Hughes is a graduate of Spring Grove High School and Juniata College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science (POE) in Business/Public Administration. This academic background paved the way for a successful career in Transportation & Logistics.

Currently, as a National Sales Manager for Dotline Transportation, Hughes manages complex high-level operations daily—a skill set he translates directly into his oversight of school governance and infrastructure at DCHS.

Leadership in Motion

Hughes's impact on the Board is characterized by his willingness to lead across multiple departments. His current roles include:

• Chair of the Facilities Committee | Directing the maintenance and modernization of the Delone Catholic campus to ensure a safe, top-tier environment for all students.
• Member of the Advancement Committee | Continuing his service to the school’s growth and fundraising efforts after previously serving as the committee's Chair.

A Champion for the Whole Student

Beyond the business of the board, Hughes serves as a vital Board Liaison for the Music and Athletic programs. In these roles, he acts as a bridge between the administration and the extracurricular activities that define the student experience, ensuring that both the arts and athletics have a strong voice at the leadership level within DCHS.
