Squires in Service | Wahoo! Another Mini-THON on the Record
Updated

by John T. Uricheck '25

It has become a tradition at Delone Catholic High School to have Mini-THONⓇ annually. After a one-year hiatus, Delone Catholic hosted Mini-THONⓇ again on April 11, 2025. For the uninitiated, Mini-THONⓇ is a fundraiser to help support and raise awareness for Four Diamonds, which supports families that have children with cancer. It also assists in funding the search for a cure for childhood cancer.

Since 2016, World Languages Chair Doctora Brown has directed the event in the school. The students come to DCHS and play games, have snacks, and have fun from 6 p.m. until midnight. It is a fun way to support a cause that is so very important to the world. Doctora Brown says, “The community has been very generous and gracious in helping us with donations to raise money for the event. For the Delone student body, it has been a way to work together to contribute in raising money for The Four Diamonds.” With that, she adds, “The director of the Four Diamonds has always been very helpful answering any questions and giving ideas for the activities and fundraising.” Students are always enthusiastic about being involved in a good cause and having fun while doing so.

This year's event raised $10,576 before expenses!
