An Investment That Pays Off | How the Delone Catholic Class of 2026 Earned $6.5 Million in Scholarships
Updated

At Delone Catholic High School, we often speak about the "investment" families make in their child's education. It's more than just tuition; it's an investment in a faith-filled environment, rigorous academics, and a supportive community that shapes young men and women for lives of purpose. For the Class of 2026, that investment has truly paid off in remarkable ways, evidenced by their impressive college acceptances and the substantial scholarships they've earned.

We are immensely proud to announce that the Delone Catholic Class of 2026 has collectively earned over $6.5 million in college scholarships! In fact, 61% of the Class of 2026 earned scholarship offers; that's more than half of the students who plan to attend a four-year college or university after graduation. This incredible figure is a testament to their hard work, our faculty's dedication, and the comprehensive preparation they received during their time as Squires.

This year's graduating class has been accepted into a diverse array of colleges and universities across the nation, including Pennsylvania State University (University Park), the University of Maryland (College Park), the University of Pittsburgh, and The Catholic University of America.  From prestigious liberal arts colleges to top-tier research universities, our graduates have found homes that align with their unique talents and aspirations. Included in the long list of college acceptances are some of Delone Catholic's college partners, institutions of higher learning that offer guaranteed acceptance and merit scholarships to Squires who perform well in high school.

What does this remarkable success mean for our families?

  • Validation of Academic Rigor | The strong performance of the Class of 2026 in securing competitive acceptances and scholarships underscores the effectiveness of Delone Catholic's challenging curriculum. Our students are well-prepared for the academic demands of higher education.

  • Financial Return on Investment | While private education involves tuition, the significant scholarship earnings demonstrate a tangible financial return on investment. These scholarships directly reduce the out-of-pocket costs of college, making a Delone Catholic education not just valuable, but also a financially savvy choice for many families.

  • Personalized Guidance | Our dedicated college counseling team works tirelessly with each student, providing individualized support through the complex college application process. From essay-writing workshops to financial aid navigation, this personalized attention helps students maximize their opportunities.

  • Holistic Development | Colleges aren't just looking for good grades; they seek well-rounded individuals. Delone Catholic's emphasis on spiritual growth, extracurricular involvement, and leadership development helps our students stand out in a competitive applicant pool. The experiences gained through our sports, clubs, service opportunities, and faith formation contribute significantly to their compelling college applications.

  • A Foundation for Future Success | Beyond the immediate financial benefits, a Delone Catholic education instills values, critical thinking skills, and a strong work ethic that serve our graduates throughout their collegiate careers and beyond. The Class of 2026 is not just entering college; they are entering the next phase of their lives with confidence and a solid moral compass.
