Delone Catholic joins schools across the country to celebrate Catholic Schools Week, Jan. 25-31. This is a special time for our students to celebrate their faith, show their school pride, and enjoy a few well-earned "perks" that build our community spirit. The Catholic Schools Week committee has chosen the theme In All Seasons.
We have designed this year’s schedule to be faith-centered, fun, and easy for families to manage.
The "All-Access" Participation Pass
To make things simple, we are using a single-payment model for all dress-down privileges:
- Donate | $5 donation per student to the Diocesan Mission Collection covers participation for the entire week.
- How to Pay | Please bring your $5 to your homeroom teacher on Monday morning, Feb. 2.
- Uniforms | Students who do not wish to participate should report to school in their standard daily uniform.
Daily Themes & Dress Code Guidelines
Sunday, Feb. 1 | Celebrate Parishes
- Squire Ambassadors will be present at Masses throughout the area
- A Spiritual Bouquet will be assembled for the Adams Deanery clergy.
Monday, Feb. 2 | Celebrate Students
Catholic education is about the "whole person." Today is about joy, balance, and being yourself!
- Wear | Twin Day (grab a friend and dress identical) OR Rhyme without Reason (Pairs dress in outfits that rhyme, like nun/sun or cat/hat)
- Donate | Weeklong collections in drop-boxes located outside the Main Office include:
- Canned fruits and vegetables for New Hope Ministries Feed-a-Friend
- Pajama collection for Lehigh Valley Children’s Hospital - all sizes needed (infant through teen, but especially older children and teens)
- Checkout | A bulletin board in the lobby/cafeteria area will feature a four-seasons tree
Tuesday, Feb. 3 | Celebrate Love & Community
Inspired by Christ’s call to love one another, we focus on kindness and friendship.
- Wear | PJ Day (Modest Edition) school-appropriate pajamas
- Avoid | Tight or revealing clothing; inappropriate slogans.
- For the Faculty & Staff | A mobile treat cart
Wednesday, Feb. 4 | Celebrate Faith
We are all called by God to a unique vocation. Today, we look forward to where your journey will lead—whether it’s a career, the military, or further education.
- Wear | College/trade school gear, career-themed outfits, or Delone Catholic club/service shirts.
- Avoid | Pajamas, slippers, or ripped clothing.
- Serve | Valentines for Veterans through Roots for Boots, sponsored by the Interact Club
Thursday, Feb. 5 | Celebrate the Church
We celebrate the faith we share and the many ways we can worship together as a school community.
- Wear | Adam Sandler Day (baggy shorts, hoodies, chaotic comfort)
- Serve | Postcards sent from Peer Ministry to Diocesan Seminarians
- Retreat | The Sophomore Class will be going on their annual retreat. (Sophomores may wear jeans/themed dress, but no sweatpants!)
Friday, Feb. 6: Celebrate School Spirit
We wrap up the week by celebrating the community we love—Delone Catholic!
- Wear | Anything Delone Catholic! Spirit wear, team apparel, or school colors.
- Avoid | Ripped jeans or inappropriate attire.
- Serve | Thank you cards for school volunteers
- For the Faculty & Staff | Hydration station in the Faculty Room and Gift
Saturday, Feb. 7: Celebrating Families
- Pray for the intentions of our Delone Catholic families
A Quick Note on Modesty
While we want everyone to have fun with the themes, we ask that all "dress-down" clothing remain modest and appropriate for a Catholic school environment. Please avoid crop tops, tank tops, or excessively short shorts.
