Delone Catholic Chapter of the National Honor Society Inducts New Members

On Sunday, Nov. 12, the Delone Catholic Chapter of the National Honor Society inducted 42 new members, selected for their outstanding character, scholarship, leadership, and service - the organization's four cardinal principles. 

Guest speaker R.C. Zinn '07, head coach of the Delone Catholic cross-country team, addressed the assembled inductees, officers, family, and friends about the importance of building communities that others desire to belong to - an aspect of leadership that will serve students well long after graduation. 

Keynote speaker Tara Noel '20, a former NHS president who currently majors in anthropology and English at Gettysburg College, shared with the inductees her advice as they continue their education at the post-secondary level. She cautioned them not to equate perfection with success because aiming for perfection might keep a student from taking advantage of the challenging opportunities that have the most lessons to teach.
