Delone Catholic Forensics Heading to PHSSL State Tournament

The Delone Catholic High School Speech and Debate team is headed to the Pennsylvania High School Speech League (PHSSL) State Tournament on March 20-21. Led by coaches Derf Maitland P'13, P'14, P'17, P'18, and Bethany Staub '19, the team is sending a strong group of students to compete across a wide variety of categories.

The Pennsylvania High School Speech League (PHSSL) is the state’s governing body for competitive forensics. Founded in 1961, the league organizes speech and debate tournaments across 15 regional districts, culminating in an annual state championship. PHSSL provides a platform for students to develop skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and performance through categories ranging from formal debate to dramatic interpretation.
