Delone Catholic High School Launches "Timeless Excellence: Our Next Chapter" Strategic Planning Initiative

At the celebration of its 85th Anniversary, Delone Catholic High School officially launched a new strategic planning initiative, titled Timeless Excellence: Our Next Chapter. This comprehensive effort aims to guide the school's vision and growth over the coming years, building on a rich tradition of faith-based education while preparing students for the modern world.

Developed in collaboration with key stakeholders—including faculty, alumni, parents, and community leaders—the Timeless Excellence initiative is designed to ensure that Delone Catholic continues its legacy of academic, spiritual, and personal formation. The plan focuses on several key domains that will inform decisions and investments to strengthen the school’s mission of forming servant leaders.

Eight key domains shape the plan's commitment to strategic excellence:

• Academics & Technology | Ensures that the curriculum and technological infrastructure work together to enhance learning.
• Advancement | Focuses on cultivating philanthropic support to secure the school's financial future.
• Catholic Identity | Grounds the school in its spiritual mission and values.
• Enrollment and Marketing | Dedicated to attracting and retaining mission-appropriate students.
• Facilities and Technology | Guarantees a safe, sustainable, and technologically advanced campus environment.
• Finance | Oversees all financial planning and asset management to ensure long-term stability.
• Governance | Defines the roles of leadership and the board to foster effective collaboration.
• Student Life | Focuses on the holistic development and well-being of each student outside the classroom.

"As we honor this remarkable history, we must also look to the future," noted Principal David Staub '94. "The challenges facing Catholic education are real, but so are the opportunities before us. Delone Catholic has always been a school rooted in tradition, moving forward with courage and vision. To that end, we are embarking on a new strategic planning process—one that will guide our school for many years to come."

In the coming months, the school will host a series of surveys and roundtable discussions to gather input from the entire Delone Catholic community. “This effort will be shaped by the voices of our community—faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni, and friends. Together, we will chart a course that strengthens our mission, secures our sustainability, and allows us to continue forming young men and women of faith, leadership, and service,” stated Principal Staub.
