School Unveils Digital Wall of Fame
Updated

If you’ve walked through the Sheppard Lobby lately, you may have noticed a change: some of the traditional trophy cases have stepped aside to make room for our new concession stand. While our Squires’ success has always outpaced our shelf space, we’ve found a modern solution to honor our 85-year legacy.

Introducing the Digital Wall of Fame

In the summer of 2025, Assistant Director of Athletics Amy Miller ’05 began the ambitious task of digitizing decades of Squire history. Using the Vital Signs platform, Miller is transforming physical markers of success into an interactive experience. This isn’t just about sports; the digital wall will eventually showcase academic triumphs, the Squires’ Guild, and the Delone Catholic Hall of Honor—ensuring every achievement in our school’s history has a permanent, visible home.

"Delone Catholic athletes, students, and artists have achieved tremendous success throughout the last 85 years. Building out a digital trophy case allows us to capture historical recognition of the successes of past students, and update content frequently as success continues to be achieved now and in the future, while providing a modern solution to storage and organization for our facilities," says Miller.

"Our hope is that every student who walks through our doors sees what is possible when faith, hard work, and perseverance come together. The Digital Wall of Fame not only celebrates past accomplishments, but also challenges our current students to strive for excellence in all they do,” adds Principal Dave Staub '94, P'25, P'28.

Since joining the Delone Catholic staff in 2008, Director of Advancement Eric Lawrence '98 has worked to assemble a comprehensive archive of Squire and Squirette athletics history, including rosters and game results. This work is incomplete and ongoing, but will eventually be added to the Wall of Fame as well.

Honor, Not Disposal

We know how much these physical trophies mean to our community. To be clear: we are not "throwing away" our history. While the digital wall allows us to display every achievement, we are also working on a plan to continue displaying our most treasured and historic trophies in the building. For those trophies that can no longer be housed on campus, we want to ensure they find a good home. Once they have been professionally photographed for the digital archive, we will make them available for alumni and former players to "re-home."

Help Us Complete the Picture

While our archives are full of trophies, many names and faces from our 85-year history remain unidentified. As Amy Miller ’05 works through decades of yearbooks to piece our story together, the personal collections of alumni and friends are our best resource.

Do you have photos of past teams or information on school achievements? We would love to see them. If you have a physical trophy or memento (including scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, programs, and scorebooks), we can also coordinate a time to have it professionally photographed for the digital archive.

Help us ensure no Squire achievement goes unrecognized—please reach out to amiller@delonecatholic.org to share your pieces of Delone Catholic history.
